Privacy Policy
GoDo LLC, CSLB License #1148177
Effective and last updated October 4, 2026
This policy explains what GoDo LLC collects through godollc.com, why we collect it, who else receives it, how long we keep it, and how you can see, correct or delete it. It covers this website, booking online, and the emails we send about your visits.
The short version
- We collect what we need to schedule, carry out and bill your work.
- Your card number never reaches us. Stripe, our payment processor, handles it.
- We don't sell your information, share it for advertising, or send you marketing emails.
- There are no analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
- To see, correct or delete your information, email contact@godollc.com or call (669) 309-2703.
What we collect
When you send a request or a message
Our service request form asks for your name, email, phone number and property address, the service you're interested in, and how you'd like us to contact you. If you choose, you can add a message, how you heard about us, and a referral code. Our contact form asks for your name, email, a subject and your message.
When you create an account
Your name, email address, phone number (optional), a password, and your answer to “Are you 65 or older?” (more on that below). Your password is stored in scrambled form by our sign-in provider. Nobody at GoDo can see it.
When you book a visit
The address of the property, the services you choose, the date and time, the price, and any notes you add for us, such as gate codes, pets or parking.
When you sign a contract
Projects over $500 come with a written contract that you sign online. We keep your typed legal name, the time you signed and agreed to sign electronically, your IP address and browser details, and the contract exactly as it was shown to you. Together, these are the proof that you signed. We also keep a PDF of the signed contract and its Notice of Cancellation, and email you a copy.
When you pay
You enter your card on Stripe's secure checkout page, not ours, so your card number never reaches GoDo. We keep the amount, whether the payment went through, and Stripe's reference numbers. We see your card's brand and last four digits, and the last four appear on your receipts. For projects over $500, your card is saved with Stripe so we can charge the balance once the work is done. It's removed once the balance is paid, or if the visit is cancelled.
During and after your visit
Our notes on the work we did. If a visit is cancelled, we record the reason and, where it applies, that it was a no-show.
Automatically, when you visit the site
Like every website, ours receives your IP address and basic browser details when a page loads. If you sign in, your browser stores a sign-in cookie (see Cookies and tracking).
Why we ask if you're 65 or older
California gives customers 65 and older five business days, instead of three, to cancel a home improvement contract over $500. We ask so we can give you the right cancellation window and put the right cancellation notice in your contract. That's the only thing we use your answer for. It never affects your price, it's never used for marketing, and it never decides whether you can book. If we don't have your answer, we give you the longer, five-day window.
How we use your information
- To schedule, carry out and bill the work you book.
- To email you about it: confirmations, your signed contract, receipts, cancellation and refund notices, and links to pay a balance.
- To answer your requests and questions.
- To keep a record of the work we've done and the payments we've received, and to meet our legal obligations as a licensed contractor and a business.
We don't sell your personal information, we don't share it with anyone for advertising, and we don't send marketing emails.
Who else receives it
We use a handful of companies to run the site and the business. Each one receives what it needs for its part:
- Supabase stores our customer database (accounts, addresses, bookings and signed contracts) and runs account sign-in.
- Stripe processes payments. It receives your email address, what you're paying for and when your visit is, and for projects over $500, your name and your saved card.
- Resend sends our emails, including the ones that confirm a new account and send sign-in links, so it handles what they contain: your name, phone number, address, visit details, notes, and copies of signed contracts.
- Netlify hosts this website and receives our request and contact forms. It checks form submissions for spam.
- Microsoft 365 hosts our business email. Form submissions, booking notifications and your emails to us arrive there.
- Housecall Pro is the job-scheduling software our team uses today. We copy your name, phone number, address and the services you booked into it by hand.
- Google Maps, when our team looks up directions to your property.
Each of these companies handles your information under its own privacy policy. On Stripe's checkout pages, Stripe's privacy policy applies.
[ATTORNEY TO REVIEW]
Disclosures the law may require, for example to a court, a government agency or the Contractors State License Board, and whether to say what happens to customer information if the business is sold. Neither is written yet.
How long we keep it
- Booking and payment records: 7 years.
- Signed contracts, including the signing details above: 10 years after the work is finished.
- Our notes on the work: as part of the property's maintenance history (see Deleting your information).
- Request and contact form messages that don't lead to a booking: 2 years.
- Your account: until you ask us to close it.
[ATTORNEY TO REVIEW]
Confirm these periods against tax, contractor-licensing and contract law. The 10 years for contracts follows California's period for latent construction defects (Code of Civil Procedure §337.15).
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
When you're signed in, your account page shows your name, email, phone number and visits. For anything else we hold about you, or to correct something, email contact@godollc.com or call (669) 309-2703. We'll reply within 10 business days and finish within 45 days.
Deleting your information
Ask us by email or phone and we'll delete what identifies you: your name, email address, phone number, sign-in, the 65-or-older answer on your account, and your customer record at Stripe, including any saved card.
We'll keep what the law requires us to keep: your paid bookings, payment records and signed contracts (which include the name you signed with and your 65-or-older answer at the time), for the periods above. We'll keep the record of work done on the property, with your name removed, as our record of work performed. We'll tell you what we kept and why.
Children
This site is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
How we protect it
Your card number never reaches our servers, and passwords are stored only in scrambled form. Connections to this site are encrypted, and our database is set up so each customer can see only their own records. Inside GoDo, only our staff can see customer bookings.
[ATTORNEY TO REVIEW]
Review this section so it promises nothing GoDo can't stand behind.
Your California privacy rights
[ATTORNEY TO REVIEW]
Whether the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) applies to GoDo. It applies to a business over its annual revenue threshold ($25 million, adjusted for inflation), one that buys, sells or shares the personal information of 100,000 or more California consumers or households a year, or one that makes half its revenue from selling or sharing personal information. GoDo believes it is under all three.
If it doesn't apply: whether to say so, and whether to offer its rights anyway. If it does: the notice at collection, the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out, and honoring Global Privacy Control signals.
Also whether California's Shine the Light law (Civil Code §1798.83) needs a statement. GoDo doesn't share personal information for anyone's direct marketing.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also email account holders before it takes effect. This version took effect on October 4, 2026.
